Director, Digital Transformation Advisory

Interpath is an international and fast-growing advisory business with deep expertise across deals, advisory, and restructuring capabilities. We deliver tangible results for global businesses, investors, and stakeholders when complex challenges arise and critical decisions need to be made.

As part of the continued growth of our Digital Transformation practice, we are seeking an experienced Director, Digital Transformation Advisory to join a newly established digital team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape and build Interpath’s digital transformation capability alongside the Managing Director, while leading high-impact client engagements across a wide range of industries, geographies, and transaction situations. You will work with both regulated and non-regulated businesses, supporting clients through:

  • Complex technology-enabled transformations
  • M&A activities
  • Operating model changes
  • Strategic technology initiatives

Key Accountabilities

  • Act as a key member of Interpath’s Digital Transformation team, supporting the Managing Director in building and expanding the practice.
  • Lead and deliver complex digital transformation engagements across multiple industries and international markets.
  • Project manage large-scale, multidisciplinary technology programmes, ensuring successful delivery against agreed timelines, budgets, and objectives.
  • Serve as the primary interface between technology and business stakeholders, translating complex technical topics into clear, actionable business insights and recommendations.

Lead client engagements across:

  • Strategic planning and business case development
  • Technology strategy and operating model design
  • Application and enterprise architecture
  • Technology due diligence
  • Carve-outs, separations, integrations, and data migrations
  • Data architecture, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions
  • Infrastructure transformation (on-premises, hybrid, private, and public cloud)
  • Data management, cybersecurity, operational resilience, and IT risk
  • RFP development and vendor selection processes
  • Technology procurement and supplier management

  • Develop high-quality client proposals, pitch materials, and presentations, demonstrating strong commercial awareness and an understanding of delivery and commercial risk.
  • Support business development activities through an established professional network and active market engagement.
  • Lead steering committees, executive workshops, and Board-level presentations.
  • Identify root causes of complex technology and organisational challenges and develop pragmatic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and third-party providers to drive successful outcomes.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop junior team members, contributing to the growth and capability of the wider team.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience leading digital transformation and technology advisory engagements, preferably within a consulting, advisory, or professional services environment.
  • Proven experience delivering transformation programmes across sectors outside of financial services.
  • Strong track record of managing complex, multidisciplinary technology engagements with a focus on successful delivery.
  • Broad technology and transformation expertise across multiple domains, including:
    • Strategy
    • Architecture
    • Infrastructure
    • Cybersecurity
    • Data
    • M&A-related technology activities
  • Strong business development and sales experience, with:
    • An established professional network
    • Demonstrated ability to generate and win opportunities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging with executive leadership teams and Boards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to balance detailed analysis and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative leadership style with experience working across client teams, internal teams, and third-party providers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Flexibility to travel as required.
