As Director of Services, Western Europe for the Life Sciences Group, you will lead a large, multi-country services organization supporting our Life Sciences businesses across the UK, Germany, France, and Spain. This is a critical senior leadership role with responsibility for business performance, customer experience, organizational effectiveness, and team development within the LSG division.
You will shape and execute the regional services strategy for LSG, strengthen cross-divisional collaboration, and ensure the organization is positioned to deliver faster, high-quality customer outcomes at lower total cost. Success in this role requires a strong focus on productivity, consistency, scalability, and continuous improvement while supporting growth, profitability, and customer loyalty in the life sciences sector.
A Day in the Life
- Lead and develop a high-performing, customer-focused LSG services organization across Western Europe
- Establish a strong team culture centered on employee engagement, accountability, development, and inclusion within the Life Sciences Group.
- Coach, mentor, and support people leaders and individual contributors to build organizational capability and succession strength in LSG services.
- Develop and implement strategies, structures, and operating plans that align with regional and LSG divisional priorities.
- Build strong customer relationships through direct engagement, using customer insights to improve LSG service delivery, responsiveness, and loyalty.
- Own regional LSG services financial performance, including forecasting, revenue growth, margin improvement, and delivery against annual operating plans.
- Drive productivity and operational efficiency across the LSG organization while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience and service quality.
- Identify and execute opportunities to improve profitability, consistency, and scalability through process simplification, resource optimization, and continuous improvement in LSG services.
- Partner closely with commercial leaders and business unit stakeholders to improve LSG service account retention and drive expansion across divisions.
- Ensure service readiness for new LSG product introductions, including process readiness, field coverage, technical capability, and training.
- Monitor service and support demand by LSG product line and adjust resources and capabilities to meet business needs.
- Lead through ambiguity and change, driving continuous improvement and scalable operational excellence across the LSG organization.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Engineering, or a related field and 15+ years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree with equivalent experience.
- Significant leadership experience in field service, customer service, support, or a related operational environment, preferably in the life sciences industry.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience, including leading leaders and/or remote teams across multiple countries.
- Proven experience managing a significant business with accountability for financial performance in the life sciences sector.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in the Life Sciences industry, specifically within LSG or similar divisions.
- Experience leading regional or multi-country service organizations.
- Demonstrated success in highly matrixed, global organizations within the life sciences sector.
- Experience supporting new product introductions and service readiness planning for life sciences instrumentation and solutions.
- Continuous improvement experience, including PPI, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies applied to life sciences services.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong leadership, coaching, and organizational development capabilities within the context of life sciences services.
- Proven ability to forecast, grow revenue, and improve profitability in the life sciences market.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a full P&L and deliver against an annual operating plan for LSG services.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships with life sciences customers and internal partners.
- Ability to lead effectively in a highly matrixed, multicultural environment across Western Europe.
- Experience with change management principles and methodologies in the life sciences industry.
- Working knowledge of forecasting, budgeting, and basic accounting principles as applied to life sciences services.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German, French, or Spanish is highly advantageous.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment
This role requires the ability to work across multiple locations with travel as needed to support LSG customers, teams, and business priorities. A strong commitment to collaboration, visibility, and cross-functional partnership within the Life Sciences Group is essential.
