About the Role
The Director, Marketing (ARTD) will accelerate the growth of the ARTD business across Europe by translating category strategy into focused, high-impact execution. Leaving a strong emphasis on top-priority markets, this role will partner closely with countries, bottlers, and cross-functional teams to deploy scalable growth models, ensuring consistent delivery against category priorities.
Under the direction of the Senior Director, this individual will uphold strong alignment between portfolio priorities, commercial levers, and in-market execution, driving brand strength, growth, and long-term value creation for the ARTD category.
Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy Deployment
- Support the implementation of ARTD category strategy across Europe, ensuring clarity and focus on priority markets.
- Translate strategic direction into practical execution plans and market playbooks.
- Define and apply market archetypes to prioritise resources efficiently while identifying growth opportunities.
- Provide insights to constantly refine and improve category strategy.
Portfolio & Innovation Execution
- Execute the ARTD portfolio agenda, aligning brand roles and priorities across markets.
- Drive innovation pipeline delivery, ensuring launches and scaling in priority markets.
- Partner with markets and bottlers to maintain consistent, high-quality execution of new products.
- Monitor performance and recommend portfolio and pipeline adjustments based on market data.
Growth & Commercial Activation
- Develop commercial activation frameworks for markets and bottlers, translating category priorities into actionable plans.
- Deploy key commercial levers, including:
- Retail Growth Management (RGM)
- Channel focus
- Availability optimisation
- Innovation around displacement
- Session content-driven business planning execution to ensure alignment with targets and prioritised action.
- Lead high-impact ARTD markets, ensuring strict execution discipline and performance delivery.

Marketing Execution Excellence
- Drive the integrated marketing approach across ARTD brands with full consistency.
- Ensure Optimal Deployment of Marketing and Entertainment (DME) investments align with brand and commercial priorities.
- Champion best-practice marketing models, including social-first and occasion-based strategies.
- Balance global brand standards with regionally relevant adaptations.
System Collaboration & Capability Building
- Work in close partnership with country, bottling and functional teams to drive aligned execution efforts.
- Share best practices across markets and accelerate what’s working.
- Support marketing and commercial capability-building, strengthening skills across operations.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to alcohol marketing regulations, brand safety, and responsible marketing standards.
- Partner with Legal, Public Affairs, and technical teams to guarantee compliance.
- Monitor and escalate execution and reputational risks in key markets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferred: Marketing, Business Administration, Economics).
- 8–12 years of experience in cross-functional marketing, commercial, or category leadership roles.
- Experience in alcohol sectors, RTD (Ready-To-Drink) or adjacent beverage categories is advantageous.
- Proven track record in driving multi-market in-market execution with tangible growth outcomes.
- Strong ability to translate strategy into operating plans and influence across highly distributed systems.
- Experience in complex, regulated environments, compatible with international markets a plus.
Travel Requirements
- Approximately 10–15% business travel across Europe, including opportunities in high-priority markets.
Compensation (Spain Based)
- Base Salary: €75,800 – €115,000 (varies based on qualifications, experience and jurisdiction)
- Besides core compensation, full range of medical, financial, and benefits offered, tailored to local practices.
- Annual Incentive Reference Value: 30% (target level at performance incentive midpoint, subject to meeting objectives).
