Director Of Academic Excellence
You have shaped an ambitious academic vision in the past and taken full ownership of the results. You have led decisively, not from the sidelines. When it comes to learning science, you are not experimenting—you have created something tangible, produced measurable outcomes that validate the approach, and earned the credibility to present it publicly. If this describes your background, 2 Hour Learning is seeking its academic leader.
At 2 Hour Learning, we have developed a system in which students learn at double the conventional rate within just two hours per day. This is achieved through AI-driven tutoring, mastery-based advancement, and a fundamental reimagining of traditional classroom formats. The outcomes speak for themselves. We now need a leader who can synchronize execution across varied school environments, elevate academic leadership standards, and serve as the authoritative voice for a movement anchored in evidence-based learning science.
This is a leadership position, not a theoretical one. You will take ownership of academic strategy in action, establish rigorous standards, diagnose execution shortfalls, and guide high-performing teams toward measurable results. You will convert our scientific underpinnings into operational clarity and advocate for this model on a global scale.
What You Will Be Doing
- Developing academic frameworks that convert learning science into actionable direction for curriculum design, motivational systems, and application architecture.
- Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure school teams remain aligned, accountable, and results-oriented.
- Integrating data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify the most impactful obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend concrete solutions.
- Ensuring strategic coherence through structured planning, continuous feedback mechanisms, and milestone management to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
- Serving as the principal representative of 2 Hour Learning in high-profile forums—from keynote presentations to engagements with Ministries of Education—shaping global discourse on the future of education.

What You Won’t Be Doing
- Engaging in fragmented curriculum initiatives that fail to produce systemic impact.
- Producing theoretical research disconnected from student outcomes or operational execution.
- Shifting accountability for performance to middle management or external consultants.
- Depending on reputation or theory alone to convince skeptical audiences.
Director Of Academic Excellence Key Responsibilities
- Expand and refine 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by aligning execution across all schools, raising leadership benchmarks, and establishing yourself as the authoritative spokesperson for a movement built on rigorous science and demonstrated results.
Basic Requirements
- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
- At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees (not an informal peer leader role, such as grade-level lead); you must have been responsible for hiring, monitoring performance, coaching, and making termination decisions
- Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education, such as through personalized learning, adaptive learning, AI agents, etc.
- Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people (e.g., the teams you managed directly executed curriculum, instruction, or assessment)
- Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
