About the Team

You'll join a small but high-impact Accounting & Controlling team at a pivotal moment in Typeform's journey.

As we've grown into a global SaaS business, our finance function is evolving to support greater scale, complexity, and ambition. We're investing in stronger financial controls, more sophisticated accounting operations, and systems that will enable our next stage of growth.

You'll partner closely with the VP of Accounting & Controlling, serving as their strategic deputy and helping lead both the day-to-day function and the longer-term evolution of our accounting organization. Together, you'll build a world-class finance operation that is scalable, resilient, and ready for what's next.

About the Role

As Director of Accounting & Controlling, you'll lead the operational accounting function while helping shape the future of finance at Typeform.

Reporting to the VP of Accounting & Controlling, you'll own the integrity of our global accounting operations, oversee a growing team, and drive initiatives that strengthen financial controls, improve efficiency, and support international growth. You'll combine technical accounting expertise with strong leadership and operational excellence, ensuring the business continues to scale on solid financial foundations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You'll be a trusted partner to senior leadership, mentor and develop the accounting team, and play a key role in transforming how finance operates across the company.

Things you will do

  • Lead the Accounting & Controlling function, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions
  • Partner closely with the VP of Accounting & Controlling as a strategic deputy, helping define priorities, lead the team, and drive the finance roadmap
  • Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring high-quality financial reporting and strong balance sheet integrity
  • Strengthen our internal control environment and ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements across all operating jurisdictions
  • Oversee revenue recognition policies and processes across our subscription and usage-based business models
  • Lead our indirect tax strategy and compliance (VAT/GST, digital services taxes, and related obligations), partnering with external advisors where appropriate
  • Oversee transfer pricing frameworks, intercompany accounting, and cross-border financial operations
  • Partner with Legal, FP&A, People, and external advisors to support international expansion, entity creation, and regulatory compliance
  • Lead external audits and statutory reporting processes, ensuring smooth execution and strong stakeholder relationships
  • Drive finance transformation initiatives, including process redesign, automation, ERP optimization, and scalability improvements
  • Build internal accounting capabilities while reducing dependency on external advisors where appropriate
  • Provide leadership and continuity for the function, acting on behalf of the VP of Accounting & Controlling when required

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
