Director of AI – GenAI & Digital Transformation

Up to £140,000 + Benefits | UK (Hybrid)

We're supporting a high growth organisation as they build out their senior AI leadership function. They're looking for a Director of AI to own their GenAI and digital transformation strategy, a role that combines senior leadership with genuine hands-on technical involvement.

This is a rare opportunity for someone who can set AI vision at leadership level while staying close enough to the technical work to guide delivery directly, including hands-on Python involvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own AI/GenAI strategy aligned to business goals
  • Act as a senior voice on AI, presenting to leadership and stakeholders
  • Lead and grow a multidisciplinary AI team
  • Stay hands-on with Python, reviewing and contributing to technical work where required
  • Identify high value AI use cases across the business
  • Own responsible AI practices as adoption scales
  • Partner with engineering, product, and data teams on implementation
  • Manage AI-related budgets and vendor relationships

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
