This is an exciting time to join Mitie's sales team. As part of the Mitie Group sales function, you will play a key role in supporting growth for our £800m Division.
We are looking for a dynamic, tenacious and results driven Solutions Director, with a growth mindset.
You will deliver results taking bid opportunities through the whole sales cycle, from capture, to prospect through to bidding and then handing over winning bids to your operational colleagues. Client retention will form part of the role, as will developing organic growth opportunities with existing customers. We are looking for someone with a proven track record in Hard FM sales. The person will be able to proactively identify, approach, solution and win net new business as well as working alongside the operational teams to support in retention activities.
Main Duties
- Pipeline & Revenue Growth: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities within the HLGE Division, leveraging market insights, client relationships, and industry partnerships to identify and prioritise prospects.
- Support the delivery against a new business sales target.
- Develop and execute sales initiatives to build a robust pipeline across HLGE.
- Drive proactive business development activities, engaging with prospects and shaping client's thinking.
- Implement and maintain rigorous pipeline management processes using Salesforce.com, ensuring accurate forecasting and real-time visibility of opportunities.
- Collaborate with other business functions to develop winning solutions for our customers.
- Build and maintain active relationships with key stakeholders within the HLGE market.
- Represent Mitie at industry events and forums.
- Leadership of large (£10m+) opportunities – setting sales strategy, defining the value proposition and win themes, building winning written and commercial proposals.

What we are looking for
- Must possess significant experience in Hard FM Sales/Solutions.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the intricacies of the sector.
- Ability to communicate and influence senior-level/C-Suite client contacts and maintain positive working relationships.
- Able to work effortlessly within a matrix style organisation.
- Demonstrable commercial acumen in building sustainable bid propositions.
- Experience and understanding of complex bid processes including longer sales timeframes.
- Capable to present both internally for governance purposes, and externally to clients.
