Job Description
Ignite Systems is entering an exciting new phase of growth. As a modern insurance technology platform within the Verisk group, we are scaling our presence across the UK personal lines insurance market and are looking for an experienced sales leader to help shape what comes next.
This is a senior, visible role with real influence. You will take ownership of revenue growth, build long-term relationships with brokers and MGAs, and position Ignite as a trusted, strategic technology partner. If you enjoy complex sales, senior-level conversations and building momentum in a growing SaaS business, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact.
The opportunity
As Head of Sales, you will lead Ignite’s commercial growth across the UK personal lines insurance sector. This is not a transactional sales role. You will be trusted to win complex deals, influence senior stakeholders and convert long-term market interest into sustainable, repeatable revenue.
You will work closely with Marketing, Product and Delivery to refine our go-to-market approach, strengthen messaging and ensure our solutions continue to solve real broker challenges.
Responsibilities
What you will be doing
- Owning and delivering new business revenue targets across UK insurance brokers and MGAs
- Leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from first conversation through to contract signature
- Building strong relationships with broker leadership teams, including CEO, COO, CIO and commercial leaders
- Positioning Ignite as a long-term platform partner, not just a software supplier
- Driving consistent pipeline creation, progression and accurate forecasting
- Running high-impact product demonstrations and executive-level sales conversations
- Leading commercial negotiations in line with governance and commercial frameworks
- Executing and refining the go-to-market strategy in partnership with Marketing and Product
- Feeding market insight back into product direction and pricing strategy
Qualifications
What we are looking for
This role suits a commercially driven sales leader who understands the UK insurance market and thrives in a growing SaaS environment.
Essential Experience
- Proven success selling insurance software or platforms into the UK personal lines market
- Strong network across UK insurance brokers and or MGAs
- Experience working for a SaaS vendor or software house
- Track record of winning complex, high-value deals with long sales cycles
- Comfortable operating in a scaling, fast-moving business

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
