Director of Community Strategy

The Director of Community Strategy plays a pivotal role in developing high-value B2B communities across platforms, events, and digital channels. This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, strengthening engagement, revenue alignment, and audience growth. Operating at the intersection of editorial, events, sales, and marketing, the Director of Community Strategy ensures an integrated community strategy underpins and aligns all community-focused initiatives across the organization.

Here’s where you make an impact …

  • Identifying, building, and growing engaged, high-value B2B communities across digital and physical channels
  • Connecting community strategy directly to revenue growth, product development, and market positioning
  • Developing a unified community strategy across titles and across media channels including in-person events, digital, and print

What you will do …

  • Develop overarching community strategy - that pulls together and leverages the strengths of our editorial expertise and ‘human intelligence’ to build and develop niche B2B communities, using in-person events, industry awards, online forums, and everything in between
  • Align community development goals with business objectives - linking community metrics to revenue, marketing impact, and product development
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration - working closely with Editorial, Events, Marketing, and Commercial teams at senior level
  • Own event programming and event content - shaping conferences, awards programmes, and speaker line-ups to maximise audience value
  • Drive innovation in community formats - launching new initiatives, integrating online and offline experiences, and creating continuous engagement loops

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
