About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Director to lead the successful delivery of major data centre construction projects across London and the South East. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing complex, high-value projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery is safe, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This opportunity is ideal for a commercially astute construction leader with extensive experience delivering mission-critical facilities and managing multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale data centre construction projects.
- Provide strategic leadership to project teams, ensuring programme, cost, quality, and safety objectives are achieved.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Drive project performance through effective planning, risk management, and commercial oversight.
- Oversee procurement strategies, contract administration, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Mentor and develop Project Managers and wider delivery teams.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Construction Director or Project Director delivering major data centre or mission-critical construction projects.
- Strong understanding of MEP services and complex building systems.
- Experience managing projects valued at £100m+.
- Excellent commercial awareness with strong contract management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Degree qualified in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Professional membership (MCIOB, RICS, CEng or similar) is desirable.
