This is an opportunity to shape the future of data, analytics and AI within a highly influential global organisation. As Director of Data, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic decision-making, advancing data maturity and unlocking value through analytics, governance and emerging AI capabilities.

The Role

As Director of Data, you will lead the organisation's enterprise data and analytics agenda, ensuring data becomes a strategic asset across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining and delivering the enterprise data strategy aligned to business objectives.
  • Establishing a roadmap for analytics, data management and AI maturity.
  • Leading data governance initiatives to improve data quality, ownership and accountability.
  • Creating consistent reporting frameworks and supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Driving adoption of analytics and business intelligence across the organisation.
  • Translating complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Identifying opportunities to leverage AI and machine learning to improve efficiency and deliver commercial value.
  • Leading advanced analytics and data science initiatives where appropriate.
  • Managing and developing multiple teams across analytics, data and strategic insights functions.
  • Building strong relationships across a complex stakeholder landscape and influencing at executive level.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong leadership experience within Data & Analytics, Data & Insights, Business Intelligence or related functions.
  • Proven experience operating within large, complex or matrixed organisations.
  • Strong commercial experience in analytics, business intelligence and strategic insights.
  • Experience leading advanced analytics, data science or AI-focused teams.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing data strategies and governance frameworks.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organisational change.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Experience building high-performing teams and fostering a data-driven culture.
