Director of Data Sourcing | Partnerships, Data Licensing | London, up to £120,000
I'm working with a global data business that's looking to hire a Director of Data Sourcing to help expand and strengthen its data partnerships.
This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded senior individual contributor who enjoys building relationships, navigating complex legal and regulatory environments, and negotiating strategic partnerships with external organisations.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you'll play a key role in securing access to valuable data sources, working at the intersection of commercial strategy, public policy, data licensing and partnerships.
You'll collaborate closely with product, engineering and legal teams, acting as the bridge between external data providers and internal stakeholders to help shape the company's future data strategy.

What you'll be doing
- Building and managing relationships with external data providers, organisations and stakeholders
- Negotiating data licensing agreements, commercial partnerships and long-term relationships
- Navigating legal, regulatory and policy frameworks surrounding data access
- Representing the business at industry events and relevant conferences
- Working alongside product, engineering and legal teams to onboard and optimise new data sources
- Identifying opportunities to expand data coverage and improve access to valuable information
- Using AI tools to improve research, preparation and communication

What we're looking for
- Experience building strategic partnerships within data, technology, government or regulated industries
- Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with data licensing, data acquisition or information partnerships
- An understanding of legal, regulatory or public policy environments
- Comfort working autonomously as a senior individual contributor
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- A genuine interest in AI and how it can improve productivity and decision making
Location: London (Hybrid) with occasional intl travel
Salary: £100,000–£120,000
