Director of Data Partnerships & Commercial Strategy
London | Hybrid
A well-established international advertising technology business is hiring a senior data partnerships leader to take ownership of an increasingly important part of its product and commercial strategy.
This is not a traditional relationship-management position. The successful candidate will decide which data the business should acquire, build or access through partnerships and then negotiate, structure and operationalise those relationships.
The role sits at the intersection of data, product, technology, privacy, and commercial strategy. You will work closely with senior leadership and teams across Product, Engineering, and Legal, while leading a small specialist function operating across Europe.
The opportunity
You will:
- Define and deliver the company’s data sourcing and partnership strategy
- Identify new data providers and evaluate their quality, coverage, and commercial value
- Negotiate licensing agreements and complex partnership terms
- Manage and develop an existing portfolio of international data partners
- Work with Legal on consent, licensing, GDPR, and wider privacy requirements
- Partner with Product and Engineering on onboarding and integrating new data sources
- Help develop new products using both external and internally generated data
- Lead a small team while remaining personally involved in delivery
- Build the structure, processes, and team required as the function grows

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
