Director of Design Technology

Location: London Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits

An internationally recognised architecture and design practice is seeking a Director of Design Technology to lead the evolution of digital design, AI adoption and technology strategy across the business.

This is a rare opportunity to join a design-led practice with a global reputation, working alongside senior leadership to shape how technology supports creativity, collaboration and project delivery. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in defining digital strategy, embedding emerging technologies and ensuring best practice is adopted across multiple studios.

The Role

Reporting into senior leadership, you will provide strategic direction across design technology, digital workflows and innovation, ensuring technology becomes an integral part of the practice rather than a standalone function.

You will work closely with Partners, Design Directors, IT and Operations to develop a clear vision for digital transformation, champion AI adoption and create scalable systems that improve design quality, project delivery and business performance.

This is a leadership role focused on influencing people, driving change and building a culture of innovation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
