Director of Education & Practice Standards

Salary: Up to £94,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced education leader to join a growing, multi-site specialist education organisation as Director of Education & Practice Standards. Reporting into the Quality & Compliance Director, you'll play a pivotal role in driving educational excellence, quality assurance, school improvement and best practice across a large national portfolio of specialist schools.

This is a highly influential leadership role, working closely with Headteachers, senior leaders and support functions to ensure consistently high standards of teaching, learning, safeguarding and pupil outcomes across the organisation.

You'll also lead and develop a team of education professionals, providing strategic direction, coaching and support to schools while helping shape the future of education provision within a growing group.

This role would suit an experienced Director of Education, Regional Education Leader, Executive Headteacher or School Improvement Leader who has a proven track record of raising standards across multiple schools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement in teaching, learning, assessment and curriculum delivery.
  • Provide strategic oversight of school performance, quality assurance and inspection readiness.
  • Use data, evidence and educational insight to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Support schools in achieving and maintaining strong regulatory and inspection outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
