Director of Finance Transformation

Director of Finance Transformation

Location: London / Hybrid Salary Guide: c. £150,000 + Bonus + Benefits REF: MR54040 (Industry: Technology, Employment Type: Permanent)

About the Role

Our client is a high-growth, private equity backed technology business seeking an experienced and commercially minded Director of Finance Transformation to lead the Group’s financial control, reporting, and governance function. The candidate will support the CFO in defining and delivering the business’s strategic, commercial, and value-creation agenda.

This role merges core GFC (Group Financial Controller) responsibilities with strategic and commercial finance activities—aligned to the needs of a private equity-backed business poised for accelerated growth. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the CFO and senior management, ensuring the financial foundations of the business are robust, accurate, and scalable, while advising on modernising the finance function for the next growth phase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial control, reporting, and governance, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the CFO in delivering value anticipation for private equity investors, aligning financial strategy with growth ambitions.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leadership to enhance corporate and group accounting processes, including consolidation, financial close, and reporting.
  • Drive operational efficiencies within the finance function and guide transformation initiatives towards a scalable, agile, and future-focused financial model.
  • Add commercial insight and credibility when advising the CFO and leadership team on strategy, acquisition activity and investment decisions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
