Head of AI Engineering
Location: London | Hybrid
Salary: £180,000 - £200,000
I'm working with an AI engineering consultancy delivering some of the most exciting enterprise AI programmes in the UK. They're looking for a Head of AI Engineering to build and lead their AI Engineering capability, partnering with enterprise customers to design, deploy and scale production AI systems.
This is a unique opportunity to join at a pivotal stage of growth. Rather than inheriting an established function, you'll build an AI Engineering organisation from the ground up, shape the company's technical direction and work on cutting-edge AI deployments for some of the world's largest organisations.

The Opportunity
As Head of AI Engineering, you'll lead a growing engineering organisation, combining strategic leadership with hands-on technical oversight. You'll work closely with enterprise customers to deliver production-ready Generative AI and LLM solutions, designing scalable architectures and intelligent agent systems that solve complex business challenges. You'll establish engineering standards, delivery methodologies and best practices while hiring, mentoring and developing a high-performing engineering team. Working alongside the senior leadership team, you'll help define the company's AI strategy and ensure customers successfully deploy and scale frontier AI technologies in production.

Skills and experience
- Delivering production AI, LLM or Generative AI platforms
- Building AI applications using modern foundation models
- Working in consulting, professional services or customer-facing engineering environments
- Delivering technology into large enterprise organisations
- Leading senior technical conversations with executives and stakeholders
