Director of FP&A & Executive Reporting
Strategic Finance Lead – The Growth Hub
Join OneAdvanced
OneAdvanced is one of the UK’s largest privately owned software businesses, delivering mission-critical SaaS solutions across multiple vertical markets. Backed by Vista Equity Partners and BC Partners, we’re executing a clear value creation strategy focused on scalable growth, operational excellence, and long-term enterprise value.
As we continue our transformation towards becoming a £1bn+ software platform, we’re looking for an exceptional Strategic Finance leader to partner with the CFO, VP Finance, and Executive Team in driving business performance and shaping the financial narrative of the organisation.
This is a highly visible leadership role at the heart of the business, combining Strategic Finance, FP&A, Executive reporting, and investor communications.
What You Will Do
This is far more than a traditional FP&A role.
You’ll operate as a strategic partner to the CFO and VP Finance, helping translate financial and operational performance into clear insight that supports decision-making at Executive, Board, shareholder, and lender levels.
Working across Finance, Commercial, and Strategy teams, you’ll combine rigorous financial analysis with strong commercial judgment, helping drive value creation while ensuring the business presents a consistent and compelling performance narrative.
Executive & Board Reporting
- Own the preparation of Executive Committee, Board, and shareholder reporting.
- Develop high-quality performance reporting and KPI dashboards across the business.
- Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, concise executive-level insight.
- Continuously improve reporting quality, consistency, and decision support across the organisation.
- Present financial performance and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Investor & Stakeholder Communications
- Support the development of a compelling financial narrative for shareholders, lenders, and the Board.
- Prepare materials for investor, lender, and Executive presentations.
- Support financing activities, lender reporting, and strategic communications.
- Ensure consistency and quality across all executive and external reporting.
Strategic Projects & Transformation
- Support acquisitions, integrations, divestments, and other strategic initiatives.
- Drive improvements across FP&A, reporting, and finance processes.
- Lead projects that strengthen financial insight and improve decision-making capability across the organisation.
- Contribute to the continued evolution of the finance function as the business scales.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What You Will Have
We’re looking for a commercially minded Strategic Finance senior leader who enjoys influencing decisions through insight rather than simply producing reporting.
You’ll most likely have experience in one or more of the following:
- Strategic Finance
- FP&A leadership
- Investor Relations alongside broader finance leadership responsibilities
- Consulting or value creation environments
Experience within a PE-backed SaaS or technology business is highly desirable.
You’ll also bring:
- A strong understanding of SaaS commercial drivers and metrics, including ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, churn, EBITDA, and cash generation.
- Experience producing Executive, Board, and shareholder reporting.
- Strong commercial judgment with the ability to influence strategic decisions.
- Experience supporting value creation, transformation, or strategic finance initiatives.
- Excellent financial modelling and analytical capability.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Executive presence and confidence working with senior stakeholders, including Boards, investors, and lenders.
- The ability to translate complex financial information into clear, commercially meaningful insight.
Additional Information
This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of regular presence in the Birmingham office. Candidates should be comfortable traveling to Birmingham, with additional travel occasionally required in line with business and stakeholder needs.
Please note, applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application.
