Advance HE is an international, member-focused charity dedicated to the development and enhancement of higher education for the benefit of students, staff, and society. Role Overview

Advance HE is seeking to appoint a Director of Leadership Development and Transformation, to lead and enhance our leadership development portfolio. Reporting to the Chief Executive and serving as a member of the Executive Team, the new Director will engage deeply with the higher education sector and respond to the challenges facing senior leaders. They will shape and deliver high-impact leadership development programmes and develop strategic partnerships that provide value to Advance HE’s members. The postholder will also personally deliver programmes, lead senior-level consultancy projects, and contribute to the executive leadership of the organisation.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be a proven leader with expertise in leadership development and a deep understanding of the higher education sector. They will bring strong commercial acumen and the credibility to engage senior leaders in the sector on complex strategic issues. The ideal candidate will be able to convert the insights from and the needs of Advance HE’s members into deliverable and creative services and products. They will be collaborative and outward-looking with experience embedding inclusive approaches and building trusted partnerships in diverse international contexts.
