Developing exceptional recruitment professionals is fundamental to our success, and we're now looking for a Director of Learning & Development to lead the next evolution of our training and performance strategy.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for designing, delivering and continuously evolving Mantell Associates' L&D function. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll create a best-in-class learning environment that enables consultants, managers and future leaders to achieve exceptional performance throughout every stage of their careers.

You'll build structured development programmes, embed a culture of continuous learning, and ensure our teams have the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to thrive in a highly competitive international recruitment market.

Director of L&D - Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the company's global Learning & Development strategy.
  • Design structured training programmes for new hires, experienced consultants, managers and senior leaders.
  • Create clear learning pathways aligned with career progression across the business.
  • Deliver engaging classroom, virtual and one-to-one coaching sessions.
  • Build leadership development programmes to support future management talent.
  • Partner with Directors to identify capability gaps and implement targeted development initiatives.
  • Introduce innovative learning methods, digital training platforms and performance resources.
  • Measure the effectiveness of learning programmes using KPIs, performance data and employee feedback.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to deliver exceptional onboarding and induction programmes.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, coaching and high performance throughout the organisation.
  • Ensure training remains aligned with market trends, recruitment best practice and commercial objectives.

Director of L&D - Requirements:

  • Significant experience leading Learning & Development within a recruitment, sales or professional services environment.
  • Proven success designing and implementing high-impact training programmes.
  • Experience coaching recruitment consultants and developing future leaders.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment methodologies, business development and client relationship management.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and coaching skills.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to link learning outcomes to business performance.
  • Passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.
  • Experience introducing modern learning technologies and blended learning solutions is advantageous.
