About the Role
The Director of Market Access will provide strategic leadership across Market Access and HEOR programs, focusing on evidence generation, pricing, value communication, and HTA policy requirements. You will:
- Champion business growth by driving Market Access consultancy in ATMPS, Oncology, and Rare Diseases
- Foster client-centric relationships, securing contracts and shaping long-term strategy
- Develop internal capabilities to deliver seamless transitions from clinical trials to market access
- Lead cross-functional initiatives in health economics, reimbursement, and commercialisation
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Business Development
- Lead client strategies in Market Access, HEOR, HTA, and pricing, working with internal/external stakeholders.
- Growth WEP Market Access consultancy via ATMPS, Oncology, and Rare Disease programmes.
- Secure client contracts and champion projects, leveraging WEP’s infrastructure.
- Develop a "Key Account" management approach, forecasting Total Contract Value (TCV) and shaping client legacy programs.
- Oversee prospects-to-conviction pipelines, converting leads into profitable engagements.
Client Delivery
- Scout and define high-potential markets for new programmes, aligning teams for NDE (New Drug Entry) support.
- Provide blue-sky thinking to enhance WEP’s clinical-to-market approach to commercialisation.
- Improve and accelerate go-to-market tooling for global commercial operations.
- Integrate market access insights with operational partners to refine offerings.

Talent and Capability Development
- Build and manage forthcoming MA teams, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Identify and develop cross-disciplinary skills in HEOR, HTA dossier development, EU JCA updates, etc.
- Collaborate with departmental managers to create a high-performance culture.
Process and Operational Excellence
- Vendor relationship management for evidence development, HEOR, and market access programs.
- Strategic budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management for Market Access engagements.
- Stewardship of WEP’s commercial opportunities pipeline, ensuring pipeline robustness.

Requirements
Essential Experience
🔹 Pharmaceutical/business degree (MSc in Health Economics/Health Policy advantageous). 🔹 Lead Market Access division in a pharmaceutical company, specialising in Oncology, Gene Cell Therapies, or Rare Diseases. 🔹 Proven track record in budgeting, cost control, forecast management, and P&L. 🔹 Extensive contracting experience with external clients, vendors, and service providers. 🔹 Ability to exhibit authority via comprehensive change management.
