The Role
The Director of Nursing provides senior nursing clinical leadership and shared clinical governance across the GXH network (Green Cross Health Medical and Community Care).
The role owns nursing workforce leadership focused on high performance and outcomes, leading implementation of new models of care (including team-based care) in partnership with the Clinical Director and owning clinical governance with Board-level reporting to both the Green Cross Health Board of Directors and the Community Care Board of Directors.

Requirements
- Tertiary qualified Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) or higher
- Proven healthcare leadership experience
- Primary care / general practice > 10 years
- Proven success leading high-performance nursing teams, performance management, coaching, and development of senior nursing leaders
- Experience implementing new models of care (e.g. team-based care) and driving measurable clinical/workforce outcomes
- Strong change leadership and project management skills
- Sound understanding of primary care funding, contracting, performance frameworks, and clinical data
- Experience with PMS systems, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data reporting systems (Thalamus, Halcyon, Karo)
- Clear communicator (written & verbal)
- Able to manage relationships across groups
- Collaborative, supportive, high discretion and professionalism.
