About Right There
Founded over 200 years ago as the Provide Society, Right There has spent centuries combating homelessness and family breakdowns in Scotland. Last year, we supported nearly 4,000 people, helping them stay in their homes and remain close to the loved ones who matter most.
This is a charity with an urgent, life-changing mission: securing stable homes for those in crisis. But it requires sheer operational brilliance. This is not your average property manager role—it’s rare, scaled-up, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. Yes, it’s challenging and complex. Yes, it demands precision. But it’s also rewarding, impactful, and profoundly fulfilling.
The Opportunity
You’ll shape something new and urgent—a destiny-setting role on Right There’s Leadership Team. Bringing real-world passion for homelessness and family stability to property, infrastructure, and business growth.
What You’ll Do
Your first challenge will be reforging clarity around our property operations. Right now, the picture is too fractured. After fixing visibility, you’ll focus on commercialising our assets—skilled trades, furniture reprovisioning, and untapped opportunities—to generate sustainable income.
Core Responsibilities:
- Turn property into a strategic asset
- Deliver enterprise-wide visibility: Systems, KPIs, and reporting so everyone—from the leadership team to our programme teams—understands our complete portfolio: Every property, its status, outstanding maintenance, and imaginable risks/opportunities. Ensure RAG-rated tracking (traffic light status).

- The go-to expert on acquisitions, maintenance, compliance, and procurement, with a dose ofalhoever elegance: translate goals into done. Turn mundane transactions into outcomes that keep homes stable.

Align with people, not just assets
- Overlay our property portfolio with service needs—who really needs what spaces? Proactively advocate for allocation by local authority area and programme demand.

Launch & scale ambition
- Furnish Forward (our furniture reuse shop) is meta-framework to pilot a commercial model—repurposing our assets for placements while generating income. Post visibility-mastery, you’ll chase longer-term growth: Skills/trade training, tendering for national frameworks... Make it intentional, not ad-hoc.
What’s Expected From You
You might be seasoned in property, commercial real estate, estates, facilities, or operations, or a cross-sector disruptive who’s had enough of soul-less denominations. Either way, watch. This is a once-in-a-career opportunity to make operational roles matter.
You possess: ✔ Watch-a-eye commercial desire: You see revenue opportunities where others see waste and creatively monetise (lock-in!) those. Cold number-barer-in-basic-focused but can sell beyond spreadsheets.

Benefits
💰 Salary up to £79,665, full time, permanent.
📍 Base in Glasgow, with flexibility for agile working (around 3 days a week in office, when meaningful).
🔄 Core team role: Reports directly to the Chief Executive, and sits on our Leadership Team.
