Rapid promotion prospects to Directorship within 12 months
£65-70,000 + bonus & LTI’s
This international portfolio management firm provides accounting & finance support/ services mainly to fast-growing media SME’s/start-up’s/scale-up’s is in rapid growth with aggressive expansion plans for the next 3 years!
Due to this growth they have created a new role for a bright, up & coming and ambitious Qualified Accountant to come on board as a key partner/support the CEO to take the business through it’s next stage of growth and in time become a Director within the business.
This is a broad all encompassing role to ensure the smooth running of the day to day practice function, taking on and developing a portfolio of your own clients well as managing the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive strong commercial results – growing revenue, developing new revenue streams, and improving margins and profitability across the firm and wider Group.
- Establish the organisation as a trusted outsourced supplier across multiple industries and niche markets.
- Drive the commercial agenda: pricing, propositions, business development and the growth of key accounts.
- Lead financial planning and the raising of finance – both internally for the Group and on behalf of clients.
- Identify, develop and implement external business relationships and partnerships, in line with the wider Group focus.
- Support the Managing Director in rolling out services internationally (initially Portugal and Spain), in line with the wider UK business.
- Support the development of the future production company and production management services company, and the wider Group structure.
- Responsibility for organising, planning, and monitoring the workload of the accountancy staff.
- Management and supervision of the accounts team.
- Work with clients to identify their needs and explore solutions including cash flows and business plans where necessary.
- Advise, influence and coach clients in the delivery of the financial aspects of their business.
- Provide accurate financial advice, guidance, and practical support to clients.
- As a Non-Executive Director, provide independent challenge, commercial oversight and governance to the Managing Director and Board.

- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Some experience in a small accountancy practice ideally that provides non-audit accounting services to media SME’s.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills. Ability to work through a cross-functional organisation to influence others and get things accomplished.
- Positive team leader who empowers others and is able to mentor accounting team.
- A commercial, sales-driven leader with a proven track record of growing revenue streams, margins and profitability.
- Strong business and commercial acumen, with a track record of improving operations, efficiency and financial performance.
- Experience in financial planning and raising finance, both internally and on behalf of clients.
- A track record of finding, building and implementing external business relationships and partnerships.
- Strong aptitude for AI-driven solutions and automation, and the confidence to apply them to redesign how a firm works – willing to get into the detail to achieve excellence in delivery.
PLEASE NOTE ALTHOUGH THIS IS A REMOTE ROLE IT WILL REQUIRE OCCASIONAL TRAVEL TO CENTRAL LONDON.
