Our Vision
Our vision is for the people of North London to encounter Jesus, become like him, and change the world.
About Us
St Barnabas Woodside Park is a growing, missionally focused Anglican church in North Finchley, already connecting with hundreds of people each week across our main site, church plants, and missional communities. We are a church on the move — and we are building the leadership team to match.
The Role
This is a rare opportunity for an operational leader to join our Senior Leadership Team at a genuinely pivotal moment. As Director of Operations and Governance, you will provide strategic oversight across finance, HR, facilities, information systems, and compliance — and you will lead the implementation of a new governance framework across our growing family of church plants. You will not be working behind the scenes. You will be in the room where significant decisions are made, trusted to help St Bs run with both ambition and integrity.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who brings operational rigour and genuine Christian conviction in equal measure, along with a conviction that good governance helps organisations flourish. Someone who is energised by the scale of what we are attempting, and who wants to give their best professional years to something that matters eternally, not just organisationally. Someone who is keen to help lead, develop strategy and roll up their sleeves when needed.

You may never have worked in a church before. That is fine. What we cannot teach is the combination of strategic clarity, operational discipline, and deep personal faith that this role requires — and if that description fits you, we would love to hear from you.
