Director of Play

Director of Play - Caribbean Location: The Bahamas (Relocation Required)

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 USD (Negotiable) + Comprehensive Expatriate Package About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Play to lead and elevate a global portfolio of children's enrichment, adventure, camp, and family experience programs across multiple international destinations in The Bahamas. This senior leadership role will oversee play operations, program development, safeguarding, training, and quality standards while supporting the growth of new locations worldwide. The successful candidate will help shape exceptional experiences for children and families while building and developing high-performing teams across a growing international business. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee all play, camp, adventure, and enrichment programs across multiple locations. Ensure consistent delivery of world-class experiences, operational standards, and safeguarding practices. Manage and develop Play Managers and central programming teams. Drive innovation in activities, camps, classes, and family experiences. Design and implement training, onboarding, and leadership development programs. Act as the Group Safeguarding Lead, ensuring compliance with international best practices. Conduct site visits, audits, and operational reviews across locations. Support new openings, pre-opening planning, recruitment, and team mobilisation. Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and future development projects. Candidate Profile Senior leadership experience in children's enrichment, education, camps, hospitality, leisure, childcare, or experiential programming. Proven success leading multi-site teams and developing high-performing cultures. Strong background in safeguarding, training, recruitment, and performance management. Experience creating and delivering engaging programs for children and families. Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills. Commercially aware with strong operational and project management capabilities. Comfortable working internationally across diverse cultures and environments. Solutions-focused with exceptional attention to detail. Adaptable, professional, and comfortable in a fast-paced international environment. Package Base Salary: USD $100,000–$120,000 (Negotiable based on experience) Expatriate Package including relocation assistance, housing support, annual flights, medical coverage, and other benefits.
