Salary: £77,083-80,603 plus final salary pension plus highly competitive package

We are currently looking for a Director of Property, a role that offers a tremendous opportunity to help drive the future of Ayrshire Housing through leadership of the Property Services team. This role is pivotal in managing projects, policies and compliance, ensuring organisational and customer needs are met through effective property management. You will be joining a dynamic Senior Leadership Team and will work collaboratively to drive forward customer excellence and support our tenants and communities through values-led delivery of innovative and forward-thinking processes.

This is a key leadership role reporting to the Chief Executive, and the Director of Property will hold responsibility for the strategic management of Ayrshire Housing’s over 1700 properties. As a dynamic leader and an effective project manager, you will be the strategic lead for asset management, energy efficiency, compliance and property data through delivery of the new Integrated Asset Management strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development & delivery of first class, customer focused property management services
  • Develop strategy, policies and procedures to ensure services are delivered in line with legislation, regulatory requirements and good practice
  • Budget, plan, implement & monitor the associations asset management activities
  • Use property data to drive forward customer focused initiatives which improve customer experience and ensure long term sustainability of the organisation’s assets
  • Lead overall investment strategy to drive up standards and innovate in retrofit, maintenance and upgrading homes

We are looking for:

  • An inspiring leader with the ability to motivate individuals, teams and stakeholders towards excellence and continuous improvement
  • Experience of developing strategies to meet organisational objectives
  • Risk management and effective internal controls experience
  • An understanding of procurement legislation and best practice
  • Experience of working with boards and committees
  • Financial and budgetary control experience with the ability to set budgets and make effective financial decisions
  • Experience of policy and procedural development within the delivery property management services
  • Relevant qualification and membership of a professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB)
  • Demonstrable line management experience
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge of MS packages (especially excel)
  • A committed, flexible and adaptable approach to work requirements
  • Commitment to the ethos of housing associations, including equity and diversity
