We are currently looking for a Director of Quality Assurance to join a leading Pharma Services organisation based in the Leicestershire area. As the Director of QA, you will be responsible for leading the site Quality function, ensuring full regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement across the Pharmaceutical Quality System.
This is a key senior leadership role, offering the opportunity to influence strategy, engage with regulatory authorities, and shape the future of quality at site level.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Director of Quality Assurance will be varied; however, the key responsibilities are as follows:
- Lead and develop the Quality Assurance function, ensuring it is structured, resourced, and aligned to business needs.
- Own and maintain the Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS) in line with global standards and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary contact for regulatory authorities, leading inspections and representing the site externally.
- Provide QA oversight across site operations, ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory expectations.
- Drive operational performance within QA to deliver on client commitments, project timelines, and business objectives.
- Identify and implement improvements to quality systems and processes in collaboration with global teams.
- Support business development activities by providing QA input into new opportunities and partnerships.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Director of Quality Assurance, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- Degree educated in a scientific discipline, with eligibility to act as a Qualified Person (QP).
- Significant experience within a Senior Operational Quality role within the pharmaceutical industry, including QP responsibilities.
- Proven experience leading teams and managing QA functions in a GMP-regulated environment.
