Director of Real Estate Development
The Housing Authority of the City of Wilmington, North Carolina is accepting applications for a Director of Real Estate Development.
The Director of Real Estate Development administers the capital and management improvement program for Public Housing units as well as Replacement Housing, and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit and other capital funds projects and grants; also oversees contract administration for construction and development-related activities. Reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

The primary purpose of this position is to plan, direct and manage planning, design and development and capital project initiatives for the Wilmington Housing Authority (WHA) including planning for redevelopment of WHA housing developments; Identify opportunities and planning for new housing to be undertaken by WHA directly or with third party partners; Supervision of the process leading up to construction including acquisition, financial analysis, funding, design development, local approval and developer selection processes for WHA development initiatives.
