Job Description
Role Overview
FRP Advisory seeks a highly skilled and experienced Director of Restructuring Advisory based in our London office. The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong background in restructuring advisory services
- Extensive professional services experience
- A strategic, hands-on approach to managing complex situations
- Exceptional client service focus
This role demands expertise in:
- Leadership of independent business reviews, contingency planning engagement, and options analysis
- Cash flow reviews, monitoring, and critical cash management
- Reporting, financial analysis, and team mentorship
- Client relationship ownership and business development in restructuring solutions
The position is highly hands-on, requiring: ✅ Clear and compelling report writing ✅ Advanced financial analysis ✅ Leadership of junior team members
Key Responsibilities
Restructuring Advisory Services
- Lead and manage end-to-end restructuring advisory projects, including business reviews, options analysis, and corporate restructurings
- Establish and maintain strong, trusting client relationships as the primary point of contact
- Provide pre-appointment advice and engage in formal restructuring processes as needed
- Deliver results for mid-market and large-scale engagements, including complex group restructurings
- Conduct financial analysis and draft reports for partner review
- Supervise junior team work, offering guidance and mentorship, particularly in complex situations
- Formulate and present strategic recommendations to clients
- Oversee client onboarding, project scoping, billing, WIP reviews, and debt collection

Client Relationship Management
- Build proactive, long-term client relationships to ensure high satisfaction and repeat business
- Drive business development and restructuring advisory opportunities
- Advise clients on restructuring, M&A, refinancing, and other financial challenges
- Develop innovative solutions to complex engagements
- Lead pitches and client presentations
- Participate in FRP’s client service programs
- Expand networking (corporates and professionals) for business growth
- Represent FRP at industry events and collaborate on strategy
Team Leadership & Compliance
- Lead and mentor the London Restructuring Advisory team
- Collaborate across FRP’s UK/International offices to leverage shared expertise
- Ensure compliance with national and international regulations
Qualifications & Experience
- CA/ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification
- At least 10 years’ experience in Restructuring Advisory (preferably with a reputable firm)
- Joint Insolvency Examiner’s Board (JIEB) qualification (apsirable but not compulsory)
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
