Director of Reward (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)
London | £120,000 - £145,000 + Benefits
Frazer Jones is delighted to be partnering with a leading professional services organisation on the confidential appointment of a Director of Reward. This is a unique opportunity to join a highly respected and commercially successful business during a period of continued growth and transformation.
Operating in a complex, people-driven environment, the organisation places reward at the heart of its talent strategy. As such, this appointment will play a critical role in ensuring reward frameworks remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with broader business objectives.
Role Overview
Joining on a 12-month fixed-term contract, the Director of Reward will provide strategic leadership across the full reward agenda, partnering with senior stakeholders to shape and deliver reward programmes that support both organisational performance and employee engagement. The role will combine strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, requiring a seasoned reward professional who can navigate complexity, influence at the highest levels, and deliver meaningful impact within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the development and implementation of the organisation's reward strategy, ensuring alignment with commercial priorities and people objectives
- Providing expert guidance on compensation structures, pay frameworks, grading, and job architecture across a diverse employee population
- Overseeing benchmarking activity and market analysis to ensure reward offerings remain competitive and commercially sustainable
- Driving the ongoing evolution of total reward programmes, including salary, incentive, and benefits strategies
- Ensuring robust reward governance, compliance, and risk management across all reward-related activities
- Partnering closely with senior business leaders to support strategic decision-making through data-led reward insights and recommendations
- Leading reward projects and transformation initiatives, delivering solutions that enhance the employee value proposition and organisational effectiveness
- Managing key external relationships with reward consultants, benchmarking providers, and benefits partners
- Acting as a trusted advisor to HR and leadership teams on all aspects of reward policy, design, and implementation

Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will bring:
- Significant reward leadership experience gained within a complex professional services, partnership, or consulting environment
- Deep expertise across total reward, including compensation, benefits, job architecture, and reward governance
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance organisational objectives with employee engagement and market competitiveness
- Proven experience influencing and partnering with senior executives and stakeholders at Board or Executive Committee level
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex reward data and translate it into practical recommendations
- Experience leading reward transformation, change, or optimisation programmes
- A collaborative and pragmatic approach, with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic and evolving environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence where appropriate
