About Performance Energy

Performance Energy is a specialist global workforce solutions business delivering technical manpower across the energy sector. We partner with some of the world’s leading operators and service companies, supplying high-calibre technical professionals across offshore, drilling, completions, intervention, production and emerging energy projects.

As we continue to grow internationally, we’re looking for a Commercial & Operations Director to lead both the commercial and operational performance of the business. This is a strategic leadership role with significant influence across the organisation and an opportunity to shape how Performance Energy scales over the coming years.

Why This Role Matters

The next stage of our growth depends on exceptional leadership across both sales and operations.

We’re looking for a leader who can build high-performing teams, strengthen accountability, improve operational efficiency and drive sustainable commercial growth. Someone who understands that long-term success comes from aligning people, processes and performance.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of two of the most critical functions within the business, influence executive decision-making and leave a lasting impact on the future of Performance Energy.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced senior leader who can develop high-performing teams, improve commercial performance and build operational excellence across the business.

You’ll work closely with the executive leadership team, with the autonomy to strengthen systems, improve collaboration, raise standards and create an organisation capable of supporting continued international growth.

This is not a role focused on maintaining existing performance. We’re looking for someone who thrives on building better businesses, developing people and creating scalable systems that deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the performance and development of both the commercial and operational functions.
  • Develop and execute strategies that improve business performance, operational efficiency and sustainable growth.
  • Build a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement across all departments.
  • Lead and develop managers and future leaders through coaching, mentoring and structured development.
  • Drive commercial performance, forecasting accuracy and operational delivery.
  • Strengthen collaboration across Business Development, Delivery, Sales Activation & Redeployment, Marketing and Operations.
  • Monitor business performance through KPIs, forecasting and operational reporting, using data to drive informed decisions.
  • Improve business processes, systems and cross-functional communication.
  • Protect client relationships by ensuring consistently high standards of service delivery and operational performance.
  • Support succession planning, competency development and long-term organisational growth.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
