Director of Sales, UK & Ireland

Our client is a leading Global Cruise operator with a record of providing high quality luxury cruise experiences.
Due to the implementation of a bold growth strategy, they are now seeking an outstanding Director of Sales, UK & Ireland to serve as the senior trade sales leader and primary market representative for the region.
Fully accountable for delivering profitable growth through the travel trade channel, this individual leads a high-performing team of six and acts as the key commercial voice in the market.
As a highly recognised, well-connected industry figure, the Director represents the organisation at the highest level and steps in for the Managing Director when required.

The Role
- Trade Sales Leadership: Defines and executes a best-in-class trade sales strategy to drive sustainable revenue, guest volume, and value. Inspires and leads a team of six, establishing a strong performance culture.
- Strategic Partnerships: Builds and maintains high-level relationships with key trade partners, aligning cross-channel distribution to maximise market share.
- Commercial Discipline: Oversees the strategic planning, execution, and analytical tracking of sales initiatives to pre-empt commercial issues and deliver on financial goals.
The Person
- Proven Leadership: Demonstrates excellent team management and motivational skills, with a track record of driving results and developing talent.
- Commercial Acumen: Possesses strong analytical capabilities and advanced negotiation skills to navigate complex, high-value trade agreements.
- Gravitas & Influence: Combines industry-wide credibility with exceptional communication skills to persuade, inspire, and collaborate at all levels.
- Industry Expertise: Experience within a matrix organisation is preferred, alongside a strong background in the leisure or travel sector.
