Overview:
A market-leading consultancy organisation is seeking a Director of Security Resilience to establish and lead a newly created Security Resilience function within a global Digital Security environment.
This is a strategic leadership role focused on building and advancing enterprise resilience capabilities across crisis management, business continuity, disaster recovery, and operational resilience. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing frameworks, governance, tooling, and operating models that enable organisations to effectively prepare for, respond to, and recover from major disruption.
This is a true build role, requiring a senior resilience leader who can create scalable programmes, influence executive stakeholders, and embed resilience into technology and business operations.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and maturity of the Security Resilience function, establishing frameworks, processes, governance, tooling, and operating cadence
- Own and continuously improve crisis management frameworks, including playbooks, escalation processes, decision-making structures, and response procedures
- Act as a central coordinator during major incidents and crisis events, ensuring structured collaboration across security, technology, and business teams
- Develop and oversee enterprise Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery programmes, including Business Impact Analysis (BIA), recovery objectives, and resilience planning
- Design and facilitate crisis simulations, tabletop exercises, and resilience testing programmes, tracking improvement actions through to completion
- Ensure resilience requirements are embedded into new systems, platforms, and products by design rather than retrofitted
- Partner with Cyber Defence, GRC, IT Security, and technology teams to align resilience strategy with wider security and enterprise risk objectives
- Establish resilience metrics, reporting frameworks, and maturity roadmaps for executive leadership visibility
- Drive automation and innovation across resilience workflows to improve scalability and reduce manual processes
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Security Resilience team, promoting a culture of preparedness, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
- Provide expert guidance and consultation to senior leaders on resilience strategy, risk exposure, and recovery capabilities

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
