Director of Software Engineering

Director of Engineering – AI-Native B2B SaaS | Fast-Growing Series B Scale-Up

Location: Remote-first with hybrid London office option Competition: Up to £200,000 plus strong stock options award

About the Role

We are partnering with a rapidly scaling AI-native SaaS company to fill the role of Director of Engineering. Their platform is revolutionary in its sector, having recently closed an impressive Series B financing round from top-tier venture capitals. Now, they’re expanding their engineering team to mirror the ambitions behind their product and (can dramatically accelerate) customer adoption.

Their engineering teams recently boosted Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) by over 3x in the past 12 months. As Director of Engineering, you’ll drive operational and organisational excellence, establishing scalable processes and structures that maintain speed and autonomy while cultivating a collaborative, high-quality engineering culture. You must exercise strong technical judgement to ensure teams deliver products aligned with the company’s technical and product strategy.

The platform embeds Agentic AI to process vast quantities of unstructured data, transforming real-time inbound data into actionable insights, enriched with semantic meaning, for clients to leverage. While technically sophisticated, the user experience is designed to be simple, intuitive, and fast.

The Opportunity

  • You’ll lead ~55 engineers today, expanding to 100+ by end-of-year, with your responsibility growing to 20-40 engineers in 6-12 months.
  • A critical phase in an organisation’s lifecycle requires structural alignment with rapid growth, balancing strength, speed, and quality.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Engineering and senior leadership to set engineering strategy, optimising cadence and autonomy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
