Director or Associate Director – Building Surveying – Niche Practice

Beach Baker has been retained by a well-established, specialist property consultancy delivering strategic advice to investors, developers, owners, and occupiers across the UK.

Founded 10 years ago, the business is built on over 40 years of combined experience in commercial property. The founders have developed a strong reputation working alongside insolvency practitioners, accountants, and private equity firms, helping clients optimise costs and maximise value from property assets.

This is a unique opportunity to join a highly regarded, entrepreneurial practice with a strong track record and growing pipeline of work.


The Role

This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of an established building surveying service line and workload, while playing a key part in shaping and expanding the building consultancy offering.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a broad range of building surveying services, including:
    • Dilapidations
    • Schedules of condition
    • Project management
  • Take ownership of an existing fee income stream
  • Work closely with company founders and clients to provide strategic property advice
  • Build and develop new client relationships, supported by an established professional network
  • Contribute to the growth and integration of building consultancy services within the wider business

About You

  • Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS or equivalent preferred)
  • Currently operating at Associate Director or Director level (or ready to step up)
  • Strong experience across core professional building surveying services
  • Comfortable working independently in a highly autonomous role
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow a service line
  • Proven client-facing skills with the ability to generate and develop business opportunities
