Director, Patient-Reported Outcomes (PRO) and Preference Elicitation Studies
Position Overview
We are seeking motivated and experienced professionals to join our HEOR team as a Director, specialising in Patient-Reported Outcomes (PRO) and Preference Elicitation Studies. You will contribute to pioneering projects that shape healthcare decision-making, advancing patient perspectives and preferences to drive value-driven healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership in the design and execution of PRO and preference elicitation research, ensuring rigorous methodological approaches.
- Drive innovation in preference elicitation methodologies and the development of PRO tools to enhance clinical and economic decision-making.
- Shape evidence generation strategies to support Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions and payer negotiations.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of professionals, fostering expertise in PRO and preference elicitation studies.
- Build and maintain client relationships, contributing to business development through proposal preparation, thought leadership, and strategic insights.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with health economic modelling, real-world evidence, and medical sciences teams to deliver cohesive, client-centric solutions.
Essential Requirements
- Advanced degree (PhD or MSc) in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Medical Sciences, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum 7–8 years of experience, with a proven track record in:
- Designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative PRO/preference elicitation studies.
- Utility measurement, survey development, and psychometric validation.
- Statistical analysis (econometrics), data interpretation, and evidence synthesis.
- Strong publication record, with experience in peer-reviewed journals and academic conferences.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex findings to diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities, including team leadership and client relationship management.

Desirable (Additional Strengths)
- Experience with advanced statistical methods (e.g., econometrics, psychometric scaling) and survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics).
- Familiarity with global HTA and payer requirements, including Parliamentary Price and Access Committee (PPAC), NICE, EUnetHTA, and IMS Asia Pacific.
- Expertise in emerging preference elicitation techniques, including discrete choice experiments (DCE), best-worst scaling (BWS), and preference heterogeneity analysis.
- Business development experience, including proposal writing, client pitch preparation, and market positioning strategies.
