Director, People & Leader Advisory - UKI
We are looking for an experienced HR leader to head our UKI HR Advisory team, based in London. This role leads a team of 6 HR professionals at Manager and Senior Manager level and is responsible for delivering high-quality, compliant, and business-focused HR support across the UK and Ireland.
This is a key leadership role that combines people leadership, operational excellence, and deep HR expertise. You will oversee day-to-day Tier 2 advisory delivery, guide complex employee and manager matters, and partner closely with HR, Legal, Rewards, Compliance, and business leaders. The scope includes employee relations, performance management, compensation consultation, organizational change, leaves and accommodations, employee representative processes where applicable, M&A support, site leadership and crisis response.
This role will also play an important part in the continued transformation of how HR support is delivered across UKI. You will help drive simplification, improve the use of technology and automation, and lead change adoption within the team and across the business to create a more efficient, consistent, and scalable HR service model.
About The Role
As our Director, People & Leader Advisory - UKI, you will:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6 HR professionals at Manager and Senior Manager level, fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and customer-focused team. Oversee day-to-day Tier 2 HR advisory delivery across the UK and Ireland, ensuring consistent, timely, and high-quality support. Act as a senior advisor and escalation point on complex and sensitive people matters. Provide guidance on employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary matters, grievances, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and terminations. Oversee consultation on performance and behavior management, including coaching, documentation, performance improvement plans, and outcomes. Support cyclical performance processes through training, guidance, toolkits, and manager enablement. Provide compensation consultation in partnership with Rewards and HR leadership. Lead HR advisory support for organizational changes, including restructuring and reduction in force processes, in line with company standards and local legal requirements. Oversee support for leaves and accommodations in partnership with relevant teams. Provide local HR support for mergers, acquisitions, and integration activities. Partner with site leadership on engagement initiatives, employee listening efforts, and follow-up actions. Coordinate HR support during crisis events or workplace disruptions, working with partners such as Health & Safety, Security, Facilities, Legal, and Communications. Help shape and implement improvements in how HR support is delivered, including the use of technology, automation, and more scalable processes. Lead change management efforts related to new tools, workflows, and ways of working, ensuring successful adoption across the team and key business stakeholders. Oversee case management quality, documentation standards, SLA performance, and continuous improvement across the team. Use data and trends to identify risks, improve service delivery, and enhance tools, knowledge resources, and processes.

About You
To be our Director, People & Leader Advisory - UKI, you will have:
8+ years of progressive HR experience, with strong expertise in employee relations, performance management, and HR consultation. Demonstrated experience leading and developing experienced HR professionals, including managers and senior managers. Strong knowledge of UK and Ireland employment law and HR practices. Experience handling complex and sensitive employee matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances, terminations, leaves/accommodations, and organizational change. Strong judgment, communication, stakeholder management, and policy interpretation skills. Experience with case management systems, HR tools, and data/reporting. Experience leading change, improving processes, and helping teams adopt new ways of working. Ability to balance business needs, employee experience, and compliance in decision-making. Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and driving continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a shared services, center of excellence, or regional advisory model. Experience supporting compensation consultation, job architecture, or workforce change programs. Familiarity with employee representative processes or collective consultation requirements where applicable. Experience supporting M&A integration or transformation in a complex organization. Comfort using digital tools, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency and service delivery.
