This role presents an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals with experience in R&D tax claims to join EY’s fast-growing and highly successful Innovation Incentives team. The team seeks experienced and enthusiastic engineers/scientists to contribute to a growing and dynamic practice.
Your Role
You will be responsible for:
- Leading R&D tax engagements with clients, working closely with lead engineers and clients' finance and tax departments across diverse sectors
- Managing the high-quality delivery of R&D tax claims
- Actively participating in submissions to HMRC
- Engaging in extensive client communication

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the successful delivery of R&D tax services to the client
- Support the professional development of junior team members
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client service
- Develop and maintain relationships within the firm and externally with clients, identifying opportunities and managing expectations
- Contribute to winning new business by proactively managing existing clients and assisting in attracting new clients
Skills and Attributes
What We Look For:
- Previous R&D tax experience (essential)
- Strong relationship management skills, including the ability to manage client expectations
- A desire to understand cutting-edge technologies across various industries
- Strong technical skills with a commitment to continuous professional development
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including the ability to manipulate large and complex datasets
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence in holding one-to-one meetings with clients’ senior technical and finance staff
- A highly motivated self-starter, proactive in initiative-taking while maintaining a collaborative and team-orientated approach

Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Engineering or Science degree qualified (preferably for an engineering/science background)
