Job Description

Director of Sales (UK & Ireland) Division: Enterprise New Business

This is a critical leadership role with strategic oversight over Freshworks’ most mature market segment, responsible for establishing a scalable, high-performing revenue operation in the UK & Ireland.

As the Director of Sales, you will operate from our London office, reporting closely to global executive leadership, while driving measurable business growth and team excellence.


Key Responsibilities & Strategic Impact

Commercial Strategy & Execution

  • Architect and implement a comprehensive net-new go-to-market strategy to systematically secure Tier-1 Enterprise accounts in the UK & Ireland.
  • Lead efforts to convert market opportunities into high-value annual recurring revenue (ARR) at scale.

Human Capital Velocity

  • Mentor, develop, and retain a high-performing team of Enterprise Account Executives.
  • Drive performance management and carry quota execution through data-driven feedback and tailored coaching.

Pipeline Governance & Analysis

  • Maintain visibility and control over the corporate pipeline via CRM metrics and business intelligence tools.
  • Conduct market trend analysis, refine forecasting accuracy, and enforce strategic pivots based on real-time insights.

Chief Strategy Voice

  • Serve as a key stakeholder and strategic advisor to the executive leadership team.
  • Present performance analytics, macro-economic insights, and multi-year revenue projections to drive informed decision-making.

Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding

  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to cultivate a world-class employer brand.
  • Develop and champion an end-to-end candidate experience, aiming to attract and retain top-tier enterprise sales talent.

Qualifications

Leadership & Strategic Experience

  • 8+ years leading and scaling high-performing quota-revenue enterprise sales operations.
  • Enterprise SaaS discipline—proven experts in win strategies, customer advocacy, go-to-market strategies, and VP/CEO negotiations.

UKI Software & Enterprise Expertise

  • Deep executive network and knowledge of the UK & Ireland enterprise software ecosystem, including preferred vendor diligent and complex deal cycles.
  • Subject-matter expertise to navigate procurement cycles effectively across multiple stakeholders.

Commercial & Analytical Leadership

  • Management consulting and complex contract success background—MSA, RFPs, and multi-stakeholder proposals.
  • Proven ability to allocate territories strategically within a hyper-growth, competitive landscape.

Business Commitment & Governance

  • Executed baselining to identify underperforming systems—known for sales growth, operations, and teaming.
  • Champion transparency, cross-functional collaboration, and long-term institutional value over short-term metrics.
