Role: Director, Software Security Architecture

Location: London, 3 days in office

Salary: up to £145,000 total compensation

Lawrence Harvey are partnered with a leading Financial Technology firm that process transactions for some of the largest and most complex financial services environments, they are in an incredibly exciting phase of growth, operating like a start-up but with the funding, stability and security that eliminates the risk of joining one. You will be joining to spearhead a massive re-engineering project and contribute towards the overall long-term security strategy.

You'll take ownership of security architecture, risk management, governance, and security assurance while helping define the organisation's long-term security strategy. It's an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact within a fast-moving, technology-led business.

I'm looking for someone who is actively delivering security initiatives, driving projects, and embedding security into technology delivery today. Whilst there is a strong emphasis on Software & Application Security, the role spans a broad range of security disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead threat modelling, security architecture reviews and risk assessments.
  • Own and mature the ISMS, governance, policies and security controls.
  • Manage third-party security assurance and supplier risk.
  • Define Azure security standards across IAM, CSPM, Key Vault and IaC.
  • Embed security into the SDLC, CI/CD and architecture governance.

Key Requirements

  • Strong Security Architecture & Assurance experience with a secure-by-design / shift-left approach.
  • Background in Application Security, Software Security or DevSecOps.
  • Hands-on experience securing Azure environments.
  • Confident engaging technical and business stakeholders.
  • Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with strong commercial awareness.

Must be hands-on in current role, this isn't a management role.
