The Team You’ll Work With
Fantastic opportunity to join a growing business with multiple tailwinds, focused on technically rewarding transactions with the UK and Europe’s most exciting Fintech credit originators and other balance sheet-intensive companies. The existing team has a broad spectrum of skills developed from experience working at investment banks, rating agencies, specialist commercial banks, and Fintech loan originators.

You will be responsible for underwriting and managing warehouse facilities for Fintech clients in the UK and Europe by leading:
- Key aspects of credit analysis
- Transaction structuring
- Term sheet and legal documentation negotiation
- Obtaining credit support

You’ll be accountable for activities such as:
- Data tape analysis
- Financial performance analysis and due diligence processes
- Designing and recommending deal structures that satisfy client needs while balancing the bank's requirements
What You’d Expect to Be Doing
- Lead the structuring, underwriting, and closing of warehouse facilities, including:
- Creating credit papers
- Cash flow modelling
- Collateral analysis
- Term sheets and financial models
- Deal structures
- Manage the end-to-end process, including engagement with:
- Clients and prospects
- Internal stakeholders (relationship management, credit, legal)
- External stakeholders (external counsel, credit partners)
- Manage the existing borrower portfolio
- Communicate internally to recommend responses to changing client and portfolio situations
- Lead deal teams, comprising VPs and Associates, providing guidance on:
- Structuring
- Underwriting
- Closing
- Portfolio management
- Build client and investor relationships in the Fintech and alternative lending sectors
- Develop, track, and deliver insights into asset types and industry sectors while demonstrating thought leadership
Requirements
- Strong ability in financial modelling and structuring asset-backed facilities
- Highly skilled at:
- Building cash flow models
- Performing collateral analysis
- Highly competent with legal documentation
- Expertise in structuring, negotiating, and closing asset-backed facilities
- Proven experience:
- Working with large data pools to assess information quality and completeness
- Applying judgment and authority prudently for the bank’s and clients’ best interests
- Qualifications or experience:
- Quantitative Bachelor’s degree/CFA or equivalent education, or equivalent work experience in this field
- Experience in structured finance from investment/commercial banks, specialist lenders, asset managers, or rating agencies
- Interest in:
- The technology sector
- Venture capital/private equity transactions
- Preferred:
- Experience with early-stage Fintech companies and startups

Location
Our home office in Finsbury Square, London. We offer hybrid working, allowing flexibility between home and office, with a requirement to be in-office 2 days per week.
