Leveraging EY’s full spectrum of services, we’ve reimagined strategic consulting for a world of increasing complexity. With deep functional and sector expertise, paired with AI-powered technology and an investor mindset, we partner with CEOs, boards, private equity, and governments across their journey.

The EY-Parthenon Financial Services (FS) Strategy team is looking to expand their team with Senior Directors who can leverage and grow their experience in strategy development, transactions, and commercial expertise. These roles will involve leadership of complex projects for blue-chip and high-growth clients across Financial Services and corporate/private equity deals.

The Financial Services sector is fast-paced and dynamic, shaped by regulation, digital transformation, new market entrants, and evolving consumer behaviour. This role offers a unique opportunity for professionals who are passionate about Financial Services strategy, mergers & acquisitions, and transformation.

Our Work – Key Areas of Focus

We partner with clients across market-shaping projects, including:

1. Commercial Due Diligence

  • "Buy-side": Supporting private equity and strategic investors in assessing market size, competitive positioning, customer dynamics, and revenue projections for potential acquisitions.
  • "Sell-side": Assisting businesses in refining and positioning themselves as attractive investment targets through targeted financial and strategic analysis.

2. Corporate Strategy for Financial Institutions

  • Developing growth, product, and market-entry strategies for:
    • Incumbent banks, insurers, and payment providers
    • Mid-sized financial specialists
    • Scaling FinTechs
  • Conducting deep performance assessments, competitor benchmarking, and cost optimisation, culminating in a tailored strategic roadmap to build long-term competitive advantage.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
