Your Role
Prerequisite: 8–12 years’ management consulting experience with a proven track record in large-scale supply chain and operating model transformation.
Sales Target: Approximately £2m annual management consulting sales.
We are seeking a commercially credible, client-facing Director to drive growth and delivery of Supply Chain GBS (Global Business Services) transformation engagements within our Intelligent Industry practice. Working across sectors including Consumer Products, Life Sciences and Automotive, you will lead strategy, operating model design and complex transformation programmes that help clients unlock value through process standardisation, shared services, automation, analytics and AI-enabled operations.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Develop and grow the Supply Chain GBS consulting proposition.
- Originate, qualify and convert consulting opportunities across UK and global organisations.
- Build trusted C-suite relationships and drive repeat business.
- Lead proposals, RFP/RFI responses and commercial negotiations to achieve annual sales targets.
Programme Leadership
- Lead end-to-end supply chain and GBS transformation programmes.
- Deliver diagnostics, business cases, target operating models, transition plans and transformation roadmaps.
- Advise clients on planning, customer service, logistics, inventory, master data and performance management.
- Ensure high-quality, value-led delivery with strong executive stakeholder engagement.
Practice & People Leadership
- Collaborate across consulting, digital, engineering and BPO teams to deliver client outcomes.
- Coach and develop consulting teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Contribute to thought leadership, proposition development, recruitment and practice growth.
- Support capability building through training, certifications and knowledge sharing.

Candidate Profile
- Strong consulting leadership experience in Supply Chain, Shared Services or GBS transformation.
- Proven ability to sell, shape and deliver complex consulting engagements.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with expertise in operating model design, process harmonisation and digital transformation.
- Excellent stakeholder management, commercial acumen and executive communication skills.
Your Skills And Experience
- 8–12+ years’ management consulting experience, with a strong track record leading large-scale Supply Chain, GBS and operating model transformation programmes.
- Proven business development success, generating c.£2m annual consulting revenue through client relationships, market presence and network development.
- Deep expertise in Supply Chain GBS, shared services and target operating model design, including governance, service transition, KPIs/SLAs and continuous improvement.
- Strong end-to-end supply chain knowledge across planning, customer operations, logistics, inventory, master data and performance management, with experience driving standardisation and digital enablement.
- Demonstrated ability to influence C-suite stakeholders, shape strategic transformation agendas and lead complex consulting engagements from sales through delivery.
- Proven people leader with experience building high-performing teams, developing consulting capabilities and driving change across global, matrixed organisations.
