The Role

The Director, Talent Attraction is responsible for shaping KPMG Canada's enterprise talent attraction strategy and leading the firm's national Talent Attraction function. This role establishes the vision, strategy and operating model that enables the firm to attract the capabilities needed to deliver its business strategy today and into the future. The Director will help shape the firm's future workforce by ensuring talent attraction strategies anticipate evolving business needs, labor market dynamics and emerging capabilities required for long-term growth.

Leading a national team, this role provides strategic leadership across experienced hire recruitment, campus and early talent recruitment, recruitment technology, governance and compliance, while fostering strategic enterprise alignment with Executive Sourcing as a specialized capability.

Working closely with senior business and HR leaders, the Director leverages workforce insights, labor market intelligence, emerging technologies and evolving talent trends to continuously evolve KPMG Canada's talent attraction strategy and the operating model for the Talent Attraction function. This role is accountable for delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience while driving innovation, operational excellence and future-ready talent attraction practices that position the firm for long-term success.

What You Will Do

  • Help shape KPMG Canada's future workforce by partnering with senior business and HR leaders to anticipate evolving capability needs and develop forward-looking talent attraction strategies that enable the firm's long-term business objectives.
  • Develop and continuously evolve KPMG Canada's enterprise talent attraction strategy, ensuring alignment with the firm's business strategy, workforce priorities, Values and future capability requirements.
  • Shape the future recruitment operating model by leveraging AI, automation, digital technologies and innovative talent attraction practices to build scalable, data-driven and future-ready recruitment capabilities.
  • Partner with senior business and HR leaders to anticipate evolving workforce and capability requirements, translating business priorities into proactive talent attraction strategies and recruitment plans.
  • Establish and lead a nationally consistent operating model for the Talent Attraction function, including service delivery standards, governance, recruiter capacity planning and ways of working that enable high-quality, scalable recruitment across the firm.
  • Provide strategic enterprise alignment for Executive Sourcing, ensuring consistent talent acquisition principles, governance and market insights while recognizing its specialized mandate, stakeholder relationships and operating model.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing national Talent Attraction team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Champion an exceptional end-to-end candidate and hiring manager experience by establishing inclusive, consistent and high-quality attraction, assessment and selection practices.
  • Provide strategic oversight for recruitment technology, governance and compliance, ensuring effective processes, strong risk management and alignment with KPMG's Standards of Quality Management.
  • Collaborate with Employer Brand to develop integrated talent attraction strategies that strengthen KPMG Canada's employer value proposition and position the firm competitively in the talent market.
  • Leverage recruitment analytics, workforce insights and labor market intelligence to identify emerging trends, forecast future talent risks and opportunities, and influence executive decision-making on workforce capability and talent investment.
  • Drive continuous transformation of the Talent Attraction function by evaluating emerging market trends, AI-enabled recruiting capabilities and innovative talent attraction practices that enhance organizational performance and future readiness.
  • Represent KPMG Canada's Talent Attraction function internally and externally, building trusted relationships, sharing thought leadership and bringing forward leading practices that strengthen the firm's reputation as an employer of choice.

What You Bring to the Role

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in talent acquisition or Talent Attraction within a large, complex, high-volume, matrixed organization.
  • Bilingualism in English/French is an asset but not required.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing enterprise talent attraction strategies across multiple talent segments, including experienced hire, campus and early talent recruitment, and executive sourcing or executive search.
  • Proven experience leading large, geographically dispersed recruitment teams, with a strong track record of coaching leaders, building organizational capability and leading through transformational change.
  • Experience designing and evolving recruitment operating models, service delivery approaches and governance frameworks that balance strategic priorities with operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated success leading talent attraction transformation initiatives, including the implementation of innovative operating models, recruitment technologies, AI-enabled recruiting practices and enterprise process improvements.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to anticipate workforce trends, leverage labor market intelligence and influence long-term workforce and talent strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy, market trends and workforce insights into innovative talent acquisition solutions that build future organizational capability.
  • A data-informed mindset, with demonstrated ability to translate recruitment analytics and workforce insights into strategic recommendations and measurable business outcomes.
  • Exceptional executive presence, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, navigate complexity and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with a proven ability to identify emerging talent trends and translate them into practical, scalable solutions that strengthen KPMG Canada's ability to attract future talent.
  • This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate may be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders while at KPMG. The successful candidate may be required to create, interpret and/or apply policies, practices, laws and and/or regulations during the regular course of their employment.

Pay Range Information

KPMG Ontario Region

The expected base salary range for this position is $146,000-$196,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.

The expected base salary range for this position is $146,000-$196,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards.
