Tunneys UK specializes in rapid, transaction-ready financial modeling to support accelerated M&A and distressed turnaround processes. The firm enables clients to refinance, restructure, and execute sell-side M&A transactions efficiently and with minimal disruption. Tunneys UK is built around a growing team of director-level professionals, many with Big 4 or equivalent transaction services and financial modeling backgrounds. Team members are trusted advisors to clients navigating complex, time-sensitive financial situations.

Role Description

Tenured big 4 TS director seeking a clear path to partnership. The Director Transaction Services role is a full-time remote position responsible for leading and delivering complex transaction advisory engagements. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing financial model build by an analyst team, financial due diligence, preparing financial models for transaction processes / FDD bidder Q&A. The director will manage analysts and ultimately own, present, and explain the modeling. Responsibilities also include mentoring team members, ensuring high-quality accurate work under tight deadlines, and contributing to the development of service offerings, internal best practices, and BD with a view to moving to partner upon building their P&L to the required milestone. The role requires proactive collaboration across remote teams and the ability to manage multiple high-intensity projects simultaneously.

  • Tenured big 4 TS director seeking a clear path to partnership
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data and draw actionable insights.
  • Deep finance and accounting knowledge, including experience with financial statements, cash flow analysis, and valuation concepts.
  • Extensive due diligence experience in M&A, refinancing, or turnaround transactions.
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as Certified Public Accounting (CPA), ACA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
  • Proven track record in transaction services or financial advisory at director level in a big 4 level professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting complex findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in a remote, high-intensity setting, with strong self-management and collaboration skills across distributed teams.
