Director - UK Construction Project Insurance

Director - UK Construction Projects Insurance

Do you want to work for a specialist practice that is one Aon's strategic priorities providing risk solutions to businesses across a large number of sectors within the UK?

Does establishing internal connections and developing client relationships at the highest level appeal to you?

If so, we'd love to hear from you in connection with this brand-new, hybrid, opportunity which provides the flexibility to work both virtually and from any of our UK offices.

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. As an organisation, we are united through trust as one inclusive team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What The Day Will Look Like

As a Director in our UK Construction practice you will:

Unlock construction project opportunities from within Aon's internal network and prospects database and identify their needs, positioning Aon as the logical partner through strong sector knowledge, benchmarking (including GRIP), and professional articulation of Aon’s risk solutions. Develop tailored revenue proposals using insights from similar clients and the full range of Aon services to ensure profitable, value‑adding propositions. Collaborate with Project Management, Broking, and UK/international Aon offices to ensure seamless delivery against the agreed proposition. Shape and contribute to client service propositions, taking a leading role where required in customisation, quality control, and presentation materials. Work closely with Claims colleagues to build a strong, differentiated Claims proposition for each new client. Build strong internal relationships—particularly across Client Management, Client Services, and specialist teams—to select the right experts for each prospect pitch. Ensure full compliance with Aon Business Rules, FCA regulations, and all statutory requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

It searches the market for you

Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What Makes This Role Different

This is a 75% origination and 25% execution role within Aon’s specialist UK Construction practice, focused on unlocking and winning construction project opportunities rather than managing an existing portfolio. You’ll take a highly consultative approach, using deep sector knowledge, benchmarking (including GRIP), claims insight and Aon’s full range of risk solutions to create genuinely differentiated propositions, all while working flexibly in a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary environment with access to expertise across the UK and globally.
