We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Disability Adjustments Assistant to join our Inclusion and Disability team. This is a pivotal role, directly contributing to ensuring that anticipatory adjustments are identified and communicated for disabled students.
About The Role
As a Disability Adjustments Assistant, you will be responsible for reviewing supporting information, to identify students requiring standard adjustments. You will generate Personal Learning Plans (PLPs) using approved templates/guidance and escalate students requiring additional adjustments to Disability Advisers. This role supports legal compliance under the Equality Act 2010 and contributes to an inclusive student experience.
The team works in a hybrid manner, with campus presence on 3 days each week.
Key Responsibilities
- Review reports to identify both new and returning students who have not yet engaged with the Inclusion and Disability Service.
- Generate standard adjustments and Personal Learning Plans (PLPs) using approved templates and processes to ensure timely support and legal compliance.
- Review supporting information, categorising it into predefined groups to support efficient triage and processing.
- Collaborate closely with Disability Advisers and administrative colleagues to ensure a coordinated and student-centred approach to student support.
- Provide sensitive, first-level guidance to students where appropriate, adapting communication to meet diverse needs.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
