Disability Support Worker

📍 Location: Argenton and Newcastle Region
đźš— Must have a full NSW Drivers Licence and Full Comprehensive Insurance

As a Disability Support Worker with Lifestyle Solutions, you will help customers build independence at home and in their community. If you are caring, reliable and motivated to support others, we would love to hear from you.
What you will be doing đź«¶
- Supporting daily living skills including cooking, domestic tasks and social skills
- Providing personal care including showering, toileting, feeding and dressing
- Mentoring customers to explore interests, hobbies and cultural activities
- Assisting with community participation and recreation programs
- Administering medication safely and following individual support plans
- Completing clear and factual handover notes and incident reports
- Offering support in the home and the community
- Using diabetes knowledge and PEG feeding skills if required (training ideal)

What you will bring đź’Ľ
- Confidence working with participants who may display behaviours of concern including distress, agitation, or physical escalation
- Availability for mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and sleepovers
- Strong communication skills with verbal and non-verbal customers
- Strong computer skills are essential for daily documentation, reporting, and communication
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
- Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID003
- Qualifications in Disability or Community Services are an advantage
