Pay: £150 per day (Inside IR35, PAYE) Duration: 6 months Location: 2 days per week in the Stratford, London office (50% in office from 1 September)

About the Organisation

Our client is an independent regulatory body in the UK responsible for ensuring the financial markets work well for consumers and the economy, promoting market integrity and effective competition.

About the Role

The organisation’s Enforcement and Market Oversight (EMO) is recruiting 3 Disclosure Reviewers for an initial 6-month period within their Wholesale Markets Department.

This role will involve working in a complex criminal case, reviewing large and diverse volumes of data within their eDiscovery platform, EDT.

About the Team

EMO investigates and brings regulatory, disciplinary, and civil cases, together with criminal prosecutions on behalf of the organisation against firms and individuals. Their work aims to achieve credible deterrence by changing behaviour in the financial services industry, playing a key role in reducing financial crime and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

Role Responsibilities

  • Reviewing diverse data within our eDiscovery tool (EDT) to identify probative or undermining material
  • Collaborating with the investigation team regarding evidential findings, both orally and in writing

What We’re Looking For

Minimum:

Demonstrable experience in any of the following areas:

  • Investigations involving serious fraud
  • Complex financial crime
  • Criminal cases

Experience in:

  • Conducting Document Review in line with the Criminal Procedures in Investigations Act (CPIA) 1996, using an eDiscovery tool
  • Succinctly communicating review findings, both orally and in writing

Essential:

  • Ability to assess and examine voluminous and data-heavy bodies of documents in cases, exercising judgment on the evidence
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools, with familiarity of eDiscovery software being advantageous
